Volkswagen Virtus Revealed: Pre-Booking Open
The Virtus mid-size sedan from Volkswagen has been unveiled in India. Pre-registration is now available.
The Volkswagen Virtus is based on the MQB A0 IN platform, which it shares with the Skoda Slavia. The car has a length of 4,561 mm, a width of 1,752 mm, a height of 1,507 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,651 mm. It comes with a 521-liter boot.
The Virtus’ exterior styling is distinctive and typical of VW, with clean and crisp lines. LED headlamps and 16-inch alloy wheels are standard on the car.
The Volkswagen Virtus has a modern dashboard on the inside. It comes standard with an 8-speaker touchscreen infotainment system across the range. A digital instrument cluster and automatic climate control with touch-sensitive controls are also included in the car.
The Virtus comes in two different trim levels: Dynamic Line and Performance Line. The Performance Line has a 1.5-liter TSI engine that produces 148 BHP and 250 Nm, while the former has a 1.0-liter turbo-petrol engine that produces 113 BHP and 175 Nm. There are three transmission options: a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed automatic, and a 7-speed DSG.
In VW‘s lineup, the Virtus replaces the Vento. The Skoda Slavia, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Honda City, and Hyundai Verna are all competitors.
