Tata Nexon Red Dark Edition Launched in India At A Price Of Rs 12.35 Lakh
The Tata Nexon Red Dark Edition was introduced in India by domestic automaker Tata Motors at an introductory price of Rs 12.35 lakh (ex-showroom). Together with the Nexon, the manufacturer debuted in our market the other eagerly anticipated siblings, the Harrier and the Safari. The Safari and Harrier SUVs have starting MSRPs of Rs. 22.61 lakhs and Rs 21.77 lakhs, respectively. The Tata Nexon Red Dark Edition comes with a choice between a petrol engine (Rs 12.35 lakh) and a diesel engine (Rs 13.70 lakh). These are all starting pricing and ex-showroom. The other 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine delivers 118 horsepower and 170 Nm, while the 1.5-litre diesel configuration provides 108 bhp and 260 Nm. A six-speed manual gearbox and an optional AMT gearbox are also options for the drivetrain.
The Nexon Red Dark Edition includes red highlights on the front grille and an Oberon Black exterior colour scheme. On the SUV’s front fenders, there is additional red “DARK” lettering. It now sports charcoal-painted alloy wheels with diamond cuts that are 16 inches in diameter. It also has red brake callipers. All of these characteristics help the Tata Nexon Red Dark Edition stand out from the standard Dark edition.
Speaking about the inside, there are leatherette seats in the cabin that have diamond-quilted designs. The red colour scheme that is offered with the regular model is carried over into the interior. In keeping with the interior design scheme, the steering wheel, centre console, and door grab handles all have a few red accents.
A touchscreen infotainment system, wireless charging, ventilated front seats, a sunroof, and an air purifier are some of the features offered by the SUV.
The Tata Nexon’s safety package includes airbags, overspeed alarms, speed-sensing door locks, an anti-theft engine immobiliser, and seat belt warnings. Also, it has a five-star World NCAP rating. The SUVs in the Red Dark Edition come standard with a 3-year/1,000,000-kilometer warranty from Tata Motors.
