Tata Harrier And Safari Bookings Open – Launch Next Month
The redesigned Tata Harrier and Safari SUVs, which will go on sale next month, have been unveiled by Tata Motors. Features like ADAS and a brand-new infotainment system will be added to both SUVs. For its premium Vehicles, the company has already launched reservations.
Both SUVs receive a variety of ADAS capabilities with this upgrade, including a 360-degree camera, frontal collision warning, autonomous emergency braking, traffic sign recognition, high beam assist, lane departure warning, blind spot detection, and more. Both vehicles have panoramic sunroofs, however only the Safari has ambient lighting inside the left and right sunroof margins.
Both SUVs will also be equipped with the new infotainment system, which will replace the outdated 8.8-inch touchscreen with a 10.25-inch one that enables wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility. Voice commands are also supported in six different languages. Both now have a 7-inch semi-digital instrument cluster as well.
The 2.0-liter turbo-diesel engine that powers the Harrier and Safari continues to produce 170 horsepower and 350 Nm. It is paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission. Nonetheless, this engine now complies with Bharat Stage Phase II. With an ESP terrain response system, both also receive updated driving modes.
Expect the price of both SUVs to increase by between Rs 50,000 and Rs 1 lakh due to the added features and the engine’s RDE compliance. Tata Motors may also release the Red Dark Edition, which was on display at the Auto Expo 2023.
The Safari competes with the refurbished MG Hector Plus facelift, the 7-seat Mahindra XUV700, and the Hyundai Alcazar, while the Harrier competes with the recently facelifted MG Hector and 5-seat Mahindra XUV700.
