Tata Altroz CNG And Punch CNG To Launch By June 2023
At the Auto Expo 2023, Tata Motors displayed CNG versions of the Punch and Altroz, which are scheduled to be on sale in India by June 2023. Both variants include dual CNG storage cylinders with a 60-liter capacity (water equivalent).
Punch and Altroz iCNG both have 1.2-liter petrol engines under the hood that produce 84 horsepower and 113Nm of torque. The motor will produce 76 horsepower and 97 Nm of torque in pure CNG mode.
Due to their cheap operating costs and the government’s encouragement of green mobility in the most recent Budget 2023, CNG and alternative fuel acceptance is increasing.
Tata Altroz CNG will include six airbags as part of its continued commitment to safety. The hatchback will also be equipped with LED DRLs, a sunroof, 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system by Harman, automatic temperature control, leatherette seats, rear AC vents, and a height-adjustable driver seat. The Altroz has a 5-star safety rating from Global NCAP.
Punch, on the other hand, also has a 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheel, an electric sunroof, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, rear AC vents, and automatic temperature control.
At the 2023 Auto Expo, Tata Motors also displayed the Altroz Racer (a contender to the Hyundai i20 N Line), Sierra EV, Harrier EV, and Curvv ICE.
