Skoda India To Begin Production Of Kushaq SUV
The Kushaq facility at Skoda Auto Volkswagen India Pvt Ltd (SAVWIPL), Chakan, Pune, has been annexed by Škoda Auto India to begin manufacturing. This new SUV will offer a much-needed edge to Skoda India’s range as client deliveries are expected to start in July. The Kushaq is the first product from Skoda-VWs India 2.0, which had been revealed earlier this year. Skoda India has also just revealed that they have passed the Kushaq road test in India in varied conditions.
Driving and laboratory tests contributed to the revisions in the production standard of SUVs required by Skoda. In varied temperature conditions and on all types of land, the Kushaq covers about 17 lakh kilometers.
2 TSI engines, which transmit power to the front wheels: 1.0L and 1.5L TSI petrol, will drive the new Kushaq. The 1,0L TSI petrol generates 115PS of maximum power and 175Nm of maximum torque and is connected to a 6-speed MT or a 6-speed converter. The 1.5L TSI petrol delivers meantime 150PS of peak strength and 250Nm of peak torque and either a 6-speed MT or a 7-speed DSG is connected by this engine.
