According to some sources, it is believed that Royal Enfield Scrambler 650 is under development and may be launched in 2021.
As the market for scrambler motorcycles grows in India, Royal Enfield is looking to grab a share of that market, the sources suggest that this has been part of a long term strategy by Royal Enfield and will be implemented on the existing 650 cc twin engine platform.
There are at least three new products coming out of the existing 650 cc platform, the Scrambler 650 is one of them and the two other are yet to be identified, we think that the other two may be a Himalayan 650 and a Meteor 650.
The 650 cc platform has been quite successful, it is quite clear in the sales figures of FY2020 as the Interceptor 650 and the Continental GT 650 have a combined sales figure of 20,188 units sold.
The Royal Enfield Scrambler 650 is expected to come with modern styling and features with short mud-guards, chassis with a sub-frame, off-road handlebars, etc.
