Rolls-Royce Ghost Extended Version Priced at Rs 7.95 Crore
Rolls-Royce has introduced the Extended version of its new Ghost ultra-luxury sedan, with additional space for rear passengers.
The new extended-wheel-base Rolls-Royce Ghost is the second-generation Rolls-Royce Ghost recently launched. This version is designed for heated use as a sedan and offers additional space and special characteristics focusing on the rear of the cabin. In markets like China, where there is a high demand for extended vehicles, it will probably prove to be especially popular.
The Rolls-Royce Ghost Extended Version is based on an extended version of the architecture of the aluminum spaceframe used on the standard Ghost and Cullinan. It is 170 mm long from the Ghost standard 5,549 mm, and the wheelbase has been raised to 3,465 mm by 170 mm.
Rolls-Royce says that its designers only extended the back door and the body around the openings to preserve the ‘minimalist’ styling of the Ghost, which “cloaked” the extra length and helped preserve the line.
The engineering and driving force of the Ghost remain unchanged using the same V12 petrol engine of 571hp, 6.75 liters. Indoors a number of new features were allowed in the Rolls-Royce Ghost Extended Version rear cabin room. Silent ‘serenity seats’ are optional, which Rolls-Royce compares to those in a business jet.
Between the back seats, a champagne refrigerator was fitted. As Champagne has an optimal serving temperature for non-vintage bottles of 6 deg C and for vintage flasks of 11 deg C, at these temperatures, the fridge has two cooling modes. Other amenities include built-in wireless internet access and a new air purifier.
Pricing for both versions on the Indian market has been announced by the brand – the Ghost EWB costs Rs 7.95 crore and the Standard Ghost prices Rs 6.95 crore.
