Pininfarina Battista Is Inspired By New York City And Comes With Customisation Options
With a customization initiative, Mahindra-owned Automobili Pininfarina will allow customers to add their own design aspects to their Battista hypercar orders. The 1,900hp all-electric hypercar can be customised in 128 million different ways, according to the company.
Buyers of the Pininfarina Battista can pick between exposed carbon-fibre bodywork and unique exterior paint colours, interior finishes, and aluminium details. Alterations to the mirror caps, rear wing, brake callipers, alloy wheels, and centre-lock rings are among the other configurable choices. Personalize the engravings on the Battista chassis plate, between the seats, and on the passenger door.
“The Pininfarina name has a legendary history of unique automobiles, and the Battista follows this tradition since every vehicle will be really bespoke by design,” said Sara Campagnolo, the firm’s head of colour and materials design.
“Our clients have the unique chance to become members of the Automobili Pininfarina family, immersing themselves in the design process with our expert craftspeople to guarantee that their car accurately reflects their personality and likes, crafted with a really personal touch.”
The personalization programme was unveiled alongside a red-white-and-blue colour scheme, exposed carbon-fibre bodywork, and performance stripes inspired by New York City. A red exterior “jewellery pack,” matt grey alloys, brushed aluminium headlight engraving, and a black finish for the roof, rear diffuser, and rear wing complete the package. Black leather seats, white seatbelts, blue Alcantara, and blue, red, and white stitching adorn the inside.
Customers will be encouraged to create their automobiles in person at Pininfarina’s rebuilt Cambiano plant in Italy, where they will be able to see colour possibilities and combinations in person.
The suite will be adjacent to the assembly line. It will debut later this year. Automobili Pininfarina’s first in-house vehicle is the all-electric Battista.
It is expected to be the most powerful Italian production car ever produced, thanks to its 1,900 horsepower electric motors. Meanwhile, if verified, the hyper-claimed EV’s 0-100kph time of 1.9sec will make it one of the fastest accelerating road cars ever.
The Pininfarina Battista hypercar will be produced in 150 units for left-hand-drive markets, with sales split approximately evenly between Europe, the United States, and the rest of the world. In early 2022, the all-electric hypercar will be available in foreign markets.
