Ola Electric Scooter Reservation Begins At Rs 499
Ola Electric has begun taking reservations for its forthcoming scooter, at a cost of Rs 499.
Bookings for the future electric scooter are being taken online, and the price is 100% refundable, according to the business. Ola Electric also took to social media a few days ago to disclose a few features of the scooter, including an app-based start-up system and the largest under seat storage area in the class.
Maharashtra’s new aggressive policy, which provides incentives up to Rs 44,000 for electric two-wheelers, prompted the Indian firm to respond “We applaud the Maharashtra government’s complete program to promote EV adoption, from government fleet and public transportation to delivery and logistics providers, charging infrastructure and cell manufacturing,” it stated.
This will be a huge step forward in the transition to sustainable mobility.”
The Ola Electric Scooter is also based on the Etergo Appscooter, a Dutch start-up that Ola bought in 2020. According to the firm, this platform has now been substantially upgraded to provide better performance, range, and technology. Ola claims to boast segment-leading performance and range stats, while specifics have yet to be released. The Ola Electric scooter will have the same single telescopic front suspension as the Etergo, but it will most likely be adjusted for our riding climate and to keep prices down.
The scooter is scheduled to hit the market in the coming weeks, though the business hasn’t given a particular timetable. Ola also disclosed that the scooter will be produced at a fresh new manufacturing plant in Tamil Nadu with a two-million-unit capacity. With such economies of scale, Ola would be able to aggressively price the scooter, which will be aimed at premium 125cc petrol-powered scooters.
