Mini Cooper Electric To Make Its Way To India Soon
You might think of the Mini Cooper JCW with its spectacular exhaust with pops and crackles when you think of the Mini Cooper. An electric Mini, on the other hand, may sound unappealing to aficionados (pun intended). With that being said, the Mini Cooper electric is expected to arrive on our shores in the near future. Mini India has teased the future electric vehicle, which would arrive in India via the CBU method. Let’s take a look at what the Mini Cooper electric can offer:
The Mini Cooper electric looks identical to the I.C.E. version. There are a few notable differences, such as the absence of a grill and the addition of new aerodynamic alloy wheels. Yellow highlights and MINI electric insignia are also present on the Mini Cooper electric. The expressive front appearance is dominated by the new hexagonal radiator grille, which emanates a modern, sophisticated atmosphere, as well as the round signature MINI, LED headlights. The LED headlights and fog lights are now incorporated. The side scuttles have been rebuilt to include LED side indicators. The side view is defined by the low overhangs and the distinctive new shapes of the wheel arch surround.
The interiors are identical to the normal Cooper, with the exception of the yellow elements that carry over from the outside. Standard features include an 8.8-inch (22.35 cm) colour touchscreen display, touch-sensitive favourite buttons, and Piano Black high-gloss surfaces. A new surface design with laser engraving complements the Ambient Light option, emphasising the appearance of the LED light ring surrounding the central instrument. In conjunction with a navigation system, the operating system controller on the centre console has an all-black surface. The optional 5-inch (12.70 cm) multifunctional instrument display on the steering column completely transforms the driver’s environment.
A 32.6 kWh battery pack installed beneath the floor powers the Mini Cooper electric. It generates 184 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque. The top speed is 150 km/h, and the 0-100 km/h time is 7.3 seconds. According to the WLTP test, the Mini Cooper electric has a range of 203 to 234 kilometres.
