MG Gloster Receives A Price Hike
The price of MG’s Gloster SUV in India shocked us. MG Motor India showed us how the price is hostile. The Gloster has the Ford Endeavour, Toyota Fortuner, and Mahindra Alturas G4 in its own right. At the initial price of INR 28.98 lakh, it was introduced. The Gloster is the flagship deal for MG and the full loaded Savy version goes up to INR 35.38 lakh.
In just three weeks after the launch of the Gloster SUV, it has recently reported that it has earned over 2000 bookings. The Gloster also got a price increase with this announcement.
It must be remembered that the Gloster began at an introductory price, and we should not be shocked by this price increase. What is nevertheless surprising is that, even after the recent price increase, the Gloster remains an offering of value for money. The base spec Gloster Super is the most affected by a price rise of Rs 1 lakh now, and the top species Gloster Savvy is most impacted. Now the price of the commodity range begins at INR 29.98 Lakh as against INR 28.98 Lakh. The smart 7-seater edition now costs INR 31.48 Lakh, which corresponds to a price rise of INR 50,000. A small price bump of $30,000 was obtained for the Sharp version.
A host of functions such as leather seats, a wide 12.3-inch infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are included in the MG Gloster. The Gloster also has an 8.0 “instrument panel, a three-zone car control system, a fatigue reminders system, captain seats, LED cabin lights, a panorama sunroof, LED projection lens headlights, LED DRLs, and 12 speakers and 64 different color options for ambient light. MG has also fitted their Gloster with the latest I 2.0 AI support technology with 3D maps and new applications to make city drives simple. A set of 19-inch wheels is available on the MG Gloster SUV.
And how should we not mention the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), the coolest first component of MG Gloster? It’s a new feature for Indian clients that not only encourages drivers to improve driving and safety, but also allows the vehicle to park in tight spots. The Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Automatic Emergency braking (AEB), and Automatic Parking Assist, such as Advance Collision Warning (FCW), Lane Departure Warnings (LDW), and Blind Spot Detection (BSD) are some of its main features. These features have raised the bar for the SUV in India, and we hope to have some additional driving help for future premium SUVs.
The MG Gloster is powered on the performance front by a 2.0 liter, twin-turbo diesel engine which produces 218bhp of power and a maximum torque of 480Nm. The SUV is coupled with a 4WD system and four modes of offroad travel, called sand, rock, snow, and mud, which can be controlled with an 8-speed automatic gear board. Three drive modes are also available for urban drives, namely eco, sport, and automobile. It can be used in four colors-red agate, black metal, ash metal, and warm white.
