Mercedes-AMG E53 Cabriolet To Launch On January 6
The E53 Cabriolet 4Matic+ from Mercedes-AMG will debut in India on January 6, 2023, and will be sold there as a CBU. When it is released, the AMG-spec four-seat convertible will be India’s fourth ’53’ badged AMG car after the E 53 sedan, GLE 53 coupe-SUV, and EQS 53 EV sedan. A 3.0-liter mild-hybrid turbo-petrol engine will power it.
The Mercedes-AMG E53 Cabriolet has the same 435hp, 3.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine with an integrated starter generator that produces an additional 21hp and 249Nm of torque, as do the E 53 sedan and GLE 53 coupe-SUV. A 9-speed automatic transmission distributes the power to all four wheels. The E53 Cabriolet, according to Mercedes, has an electronically regulated peak speed of 250 kph and a 0-100 time of 4.6 seconds.
The Mercedes-AMG E 53 Cabriolet receives AMG-exclusive improvements like a trademark grille and a redesigned front splitter, which resemble the AMG-GT supercar’s front end design. The E53 Cabriolet is 109 millimeters (4,844mm) shorter than the E53 sedan.
The enormous dual 12.3-inch instrument and infotainment screens, along with the hefty, flat-bottom AMG steering wheel, are the standout characteristics of the basic interior design, which is comparable to that of the sedan. The E 53 Cabriolet is outfitted with amenities like a Burmester music system, cordless phone charger, and ambient lighting. Additionally, it has an AIRSCARF to keep the necks of the front passengers warm.
The Mercedes-AMG E53 Cabriolet won’t have any direct competitors when it launches in the Indian market. At the conference, Mercedes-Benz will discuss its future ambitions for India in addition to the debut of the E 53 Cabriolet.
