Maruti Suzuki Wagon R Limited Edition Revealed
The WagonR features a limited edition from Maruti Suzuki. The Maruti Suzuki Wagon R Limited Edition adds a package of goodies to the VXi form of the hatchback, which costs Rs 5.13-6.06 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), with the extra kit increasing the price by Rs 23,000 on the special edition.
The front and rear bumper guards, side skirts, wheel arch cladding, bodyside moldings, and chrome garnish for the front grille, back door, and number plate set the Xtra Edition apart from the rest of the WagonR lineup.
Along with an air inflate, trunk organizer, and car charge extender, the company is also offering an “interior decorating kit.” These additions will be installed by dealers on VXi models, according to the manufacturer.
It’s worth noting that Maruti also sells these items as official Maruti accessories. However, if purchased separately, they will cost about Rs 33,000. The entire bundle is offered for Rs 23,000 as part of the Xtra Edition.
The Maruti Suzuki Wagon R Limited Edition variant comes standard with split-folding rear seats, tilt-adjustable steering, remote locking, 2-DIN infotainment system, and power-adjustable wing mirrors, and is based on the VXi version.
ABS, EBD, rear parking sensors, speed alert system, seatbelt reminder, and a driver airbag are all included in the safety package. The VXi(O) model is the only one with a passenger airbag for the co-driver.
The WagonR Xtra Edition is available with either of the VXi trim’s powertrain options, including the 68hp, 1.0-litre, and 83hp, 1.2-liter petrol engines. Both engines come with a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT automatic transmission.
The WagonR lineup includes the 1.0 LXi, which costs Rs 4.81 lakh, and the 1.2 ZXi AMT, which costs Rs 6.33 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). As a result, the vehicle competes with other low-cost hatchbacks such as the Hyundai Santro and Tata Tiago.
Maruti is also working on the second-generation Celerio, pictures of which were just leaked, displaying the entire design. The new model is believed to be based on the WagonR’s architecture and powertrains, with a launch date set for the following weeks.
