Maruti Suzuki Swift S CNG Launched At A Price Of Rs 7.77 Lakh
The CNG versions of Maruti Suzuki’s well-known hatchback, the Swift, have just been released, with prices starting at Rs 7.77 lakh. It is the eighth vehicle in Maruti Suzuki’s current lineup to receive the S-CNG treatment and is only offered in two trim levels. According to the automaker, it is currently the most fuel-efficient premium hatchback in the nation.
Priced at Rs 7.77 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the Swift S-CNG VXI variant is less expensive than the ZXI, which costs Rs 8.45 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Maruti Suzuki Swift S CNG is also available from Maruti Suzuki for a monthly subscription price of Rs 16,499.
The same 1.2-liter, 4-cylinder petrol engine, which produces 90 horsepower and 113 Nm of torque, is housed under the hood. However, it generates 77 horsepower and 98.5 Nm of torque when operating on CNG, and Maruti Suzuki asserts that the hatchback can reach a fuel efficiency of 30.90 km/kg. It only has a 5-speed manual transmission.
Maruti Suzuki has modified the car’s injection system, interdependent dual Electronic Control Units (ECU), and engine to operate on CNG fuel. The manufacturer has also adjusted the suspension to manage the additional weight.
The Tata Tiago iCNG and the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios CNG will compete with the Swift S-CNG.
