Maruti Suzuki Ignis Zeta gets a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system
Maruti revamped the Ignis Zeta trim and now features a touchscreen infotainment device, replacing the previously available 2-DIN audio set. Previous to this, the SmartPlay Studio feature was only available on the hatchback’s top-spec Alpha model.
Apps that come with the infotainment device include Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, the instructions for the rear parking sensor, and the reverse camera view if fitted with a back monitor.
Maruti Suzuki Ignis Zeta also sports electronic folding ORVMs, steering-mounted audio sensors, voice recognition systems, alloy wheels, and the like. LED headlights and adaptive climate control are therefore reserved for the fully charged Alpha model.
Maruti has hiked the hatchback price by Rs. 9000/- with the introduction of the touchscreen. The Maruti Ignis Zeta MT thus costs Rs. 5.98 lakhs while the Ignis Zeta AGS costs Rs. 6.45 lakhs, all ex-showroom values.
Maruti had offered the Ignis a facelift earlier this year that saw the hatchback receive an engine boost, cosmetic additions. Maruti continues to sell the Ignis two sets of customization called Scorcher and Acropolis.
The car comes with a 1.2-liter K-Series petrol engine that offers 83 PS of peak power, 113 Nm of torque, and was placed on sale from Rs. 4.89 lakhs (ex-showroom) in February.
