KTM Duke 250 LED headlamp updated
The KTM Duke 250 lies in the middle of the streetfighter set nude by the builder. The motorcycle retails the latest version at INR 2.05 Lakh (ex-showroom). Few online spy shots indicate that the KTM Duke 250 would shortly undergo an upgrade, culminating in a significantly higher price tag being added to the outgoing edition. The revamped motorcycle has already started hitting dealerships, indicating the formal unveiling is only around the corner.
The spy shots show that the revised KTM Duke 250 should have the same configuration as the Duke 390 LED headlamp. KTM did not offer the Duke 250 other cycle pieces that the Duke 390 gets including the LED headlamp system and the customized TFT instrument cluster to save costs and market the Duke 250 more aggressively.
Although there is no official word about the updated motorcycle, the same round digital instrument cluster used by the outgoing model will most likely be carried forward. The inclusion of the TFT unit would have added even more to the cost. Now that the Duke 250 is acquiring the LED headlamp configuration too, it’s not only going to make it look sportier than ever but can also assist with lighting.
The Duke 390 has one of the strongest lighting systems in its class and certainly, the Duke 250 would also gain from the same package. This is intended to stay the same aside from the revised headlamp system.
The 250 Duke will continue to be powered by a liquid-cooled 4-stroke 250cc single-cylinder engine that churns out 30 bhp and 24 Nm of torque which is paired to a six-speed gearbox which also gets a regular slipper clutch. It is also having a big fuel tank of 13.5 liters.
The dual-channel feature is switchable on the KTM Duke 250 and can be fully switched off. Like the Supermoto mode on the Duke 390, though, which requires locking of just the back axle, the feature here is turned off on both wheels.
The ABS mechanism controls the front and back of the Bybre 300 mm and 230 mm disks. Centered on a powder-coated frame built from Steel Trellis, the package on the bike comprises a Bosch EMS, upside-down front forks and a rear mono-shock. The Duke 250 also sports 17-inch cast-aluminum wheels, 110 mm in the front, and 150 mm in the back.
For KTM 390 Adventure KTM India recently revealed a new ownership strategy. Now bikers will own this travel-enduro unit at an EMI that can be as small as Rs.6999. The investment package, which provides 80 percent compensation of the on-the-road price and encompasses 5 years of ownership, is intended to carry the KTM 390 Adventure to a wide range of enthusiasts’ eyes.
KTM 390 Adventure price is Rs. 3,04,000/- for Ex-Showroom (Delhi) location. The KTM 390 Adventure acts as the brand ‘s entry into the competitive ADV-tourer segment and is one of the genre’s most versatile bikes.
