Kawasaki Z650RS Launched- Priced At INR 6.65 Lakh
Kawasaki has unveiled the Z650RS, a retro-styled motorcycle priced at Rs 6.65 lakh. Meanwhile, deliveries will begin at the end of November or the beginning of December 2021.
When it comes to retro styling, the Kawasaki Z650RS stands out. It takes design influences from its bigger brother, the Z900RS, and has a comparable appearance, replete with a stylish round LED headlight crowned with twin-pod instruments. The bold pinstriped square-ish fuel tank blends in nicely with the side panels.
The new multi-spoke wheels look great, especially in the ‘Candy Emerald Green’ color choice, which has a golden sheen. ‘Metallic Moondust Gray’ is the alternative color option, which comes with black alloy wheels.
The bike is powered by the same 649cc parallel-twin engine as the original Z650, and while Kawasaki claims the engine has been modified for greater low- and mid-range performance, the output stats remain the same – 68hp at 8,000rpm and 64Nm at 6,700rpm. With a trellis frame perched on a 41mm telescopic fork with preload-adjustable monoshock, and twin 300mm discs up front, and a single 220mm disc at the back, the chassis is nearly identical.
The Kawasaki Z650RS is Rs 41,000 more expensive than the Z650 and Rs 4,000 more expensive than the Ninja 650 at Rs 6.65 lakh. The Triumph Trident, on the other hand, is more powerful and costs Rs 6.95 lakh.
