Jeep Meridian X And Meridian Upland Launched In India At A Price Of Rs 32.95 Lakh
The three-row Meridian SUV now comes in two unique variants from Jeep India. Jeep India states that costs for both special editions start at Rs 33.41 lakh and can reach Rs 38.47 lakh (ex-showroom), depending on the accessory packs the customer chooses. However, a complete price breakdown isn’t provided.
More body-colored accents, alloy wheels with grey inlays, and a contrasting grey roof give the Jeep Meridian X and Meridian Upland distinctive exterior designs. There are two paint colors available: Galaxy Blue or Silvery Moon.
The Jeep Meridian X and Meridian Upland’s interior upgrades include new ambient lighting coverings, puddle lamps, and a rear entertainment kit with a WiFi-enabled 11.6-inch screen. On the Meridian X and the Meridian Upland, this add-on is offered for 50% less. A roof carrier, side stairs, sunshades, a tire inflator, and distinctive hood decals are also included in the basic kit.
The identical 2.0-liter MultiJet diesel engine in both SUVs produces 168 horsepower and is coupled to either a 6-speed manual or a 9-speed automatic transmission. The Jeep Meridian X and Meridian Upland have not undergone any additional mechanical alterations.
Jeep manufactures the right-hand-drive Meridian in India for both local and international sales, just like the Compass. The more well-known Toyota Fortuner and, to some extent, the MG Gloster present the SUV in India with significant competition. Since the company has no new SUV launches planned in the near future, Jeep appears to be trying to maintain momentum with the Meridian X and Meridian Upland special versions.
