How Hyundai responded to fight COVID-19 In India
The battle against the coronavirus pandemic has resulted in a huge amount of loss to India and worldwide. In order to provide medical assistance to those serving on the frontline, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had introduced a fund scheme (PM CARES Fund) which was announced on March 28, three days after the lockdown was enforced.
Hyundai has donated Rs 5 crore to the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. It will hand over imported advanced diagnostic test kits worth Rs 4 crore to deal with the shortage.
It is also concentrating on the distribution of PPEs, masks, and safety kits in some of the worst-affected areas in Maharashtra, Delhi, Tamil Nadu, and Haryana. Besides, it will supply dry ration to the impacted sections of society across Delhi and nearby areas.
Many manufacturers such as Mahindra, Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai Motor India Limited, and Hero MotoCorp have raised a helping hand by donating towards PM CARES FUND.
