Honda City Hybrid Launched, Price To Be announced On May 4, 2022
The Honda City hybrid will be available for purchase on May 4th, and we expect it to cost between Rs 22 lakh and Rs 25 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
The e: HEV will only have one ZX variation based on the fifth-generation City, with minor cosmetic alterations. The blue outline on the Honda emblem, the e:HEV symbol on the tailgate, new fog light garnishes, a redesigned diffuser design on the rear bumper, and a boot lid spoiler are all noteworthy features.
The Honda Sensing Suite, which includes adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and autonomous emergency braking, will be available on the midsize sedan. Six airbags, an updated 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, a tire pressure monitoring system (TMPS), ambient lighting, an electric sunroof, and connected car technology with Amazon Echo, Google Assistant, and smartwatch (iOS and Android) integration will also be included.
The full-hybrid City e:HEV is powered by a 1.5-liter four-cylinder Atkinson Cycle engine with 126hp and 253Nm and two electric motors. The first motor serves as a generator, while the second is used to propel the vehicle.
Because it prioritizes electric-only mode in start/stop traffic conditions, the City e: HEV, which concentrates on efficiency, has a claimed fuel economy value of 26.5kpl. The powerful hybrid motor will be paired with an eCVT transmission and a battery pack in the trunk.
The City hybrid is now accepting reservations, with deliveries slated to begin in mid-May 2022.
