Honda CB Hornet 200R To Launch Soon
Honda is working spiritedly on a 200cc motorcycle that is likely to be called the CB Hornet 200R and the launch of the brand’s first Indian 200cc motorcycle could soon take place.
Back in July, it was said that Honda was working on a CBF 190R-based motorcycle that it had patented in India not so long ago. Now it’s come to light that it’s the Hornet that will receive a bigger engine from Bajaj, Hero, and TVS to take on the 200cc crop of motorcycles.
The Honda CB Hornet 200R could use the above-mentioned CBF 190R to take styling indications that get sharp creases around. We don’t know if the angled headlight of that bike will be carried as it is, small fairing, wide fuel tank, clip-on handlebar, but the new Hornet will surely take inspiration from that.
The optical cluster may also be modified and the headlight would be an LED panel, in keeping with the times. Engine-wise, the CBF 190R gets a single-cylinder 184cc air-cooled engine that produces 16.86 PS and 16.3 Nm of torque.
Unlike the bike on which it is based, the Honda CB Hornet 200R may not come in with USD forks. But, amongst others, it will feature ABS, PGM-Fi, and HET.
Expect Honda to price the new Hornet above the X-Blade BS6 which costs Rs. 1.06 lakhs (ex-showroom) and its competitors like the Bajaj Pulsar NS 200, Hero Xtreme 200R, and TVS Apache RTR 200 4V, if not lower than that.
