Hero Xpulse 200 4V Launched At A Price Of INR 1.28 Lakh
The Hero Xpulse 200 4V, Hero’s first four-valve motorbike, is priced at Rs 1.28 lakh ex-showroom, Delhi. The motorcycle has arrived barely a few weeks after being spotted for the first time in the wild.
Since its launch in 2019, the Hero Xpulse 200 has gone through three iterations. The first was the BS4 model, which was quickly followed by the BS6 model, which included modifications such as an oil cooler, which helped to make it a more well-rounded package with improved engine refinement levels.
For its 199.6cc air-cooled engine, the Xpulse 200 4V replaces the simple two-valve OHC arrangement with a four-valve configuration. Four-valve configurations allow the engine to breathe more freely at higher RPMs, resulting in improved top-end performance. Compared to the 2V’s 18.1hp and 16.45Nm of torque, the four-valve version now produces 19.1hp and 17.35Nm of torque. Like the Xtreme 160R, the Hero Xpulse 200 4V includes upgraded switchgear with an integrated starter and kill switch.
The only visual differences between the bike and the old Xpulse are the 4V sticker on the tank and the three new dual-tone colour schemes, Trail Blue, Blitz Blue, and Red Raid. The oil cooling system has also been improved, and the LED headlights are now 21% brighter. Suspension, wheels, and tyres are the only parts that haven’t been altered.
To summarise, the fork is a 37mm telescopic unit with 190mm of travel, while the monoshock has 170mm of travel and 10-step pre-load adjustability. The Xpulse 200 4V rides on the same 21- and 18-inch wheels, with front tyres measuring 90/90-21 and rear tyres measuring 120/80-18.
