Hero Super Splendor 125 All-black Edition To Launch Soon
Hero has hinted at a new model of the Super Splendor commuter motorcycle that will have an all-black exterior. The Super Splendor in use now would serve as the foundation for the upcoming variation.
The Hero Super Splendor 125 All-black Edition will be powered by the same 124.7cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine with 10.7hp and 10.6Nm with a 5-speed transmission. The suspension set-up and diamond structure that support the Super Splendor are also anticipated to remain unchanged. The bike has twin rear shocks that can be adjusted in five steps and a telescoping front fork.
Things are significantly different in the braking setup because the regular bike has two alternatives for the front brake: a 130mm drum and a 240mm disc. The manufacturer’s teaser image depicts this new, all-black model with a front disc brake, which will probably be the only choice available.
Hero has already taken the same tack with its smaller Splendor by providing an all-black rendition of the timeless commuter. The price of the Splendor+ i3s drum version and its all-black counterpart, Rs 71,728 each, is the same (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Super Splendor’s disc version costs Rs 81,100 (ex-showroom, Delhi), and we anticipate that the all-black edition will cost the same or a little more.
The Super Splendor’s major competitors are the Honda Shine, stablemates Glamour and Passion, and the TVS Raider.
