For the first time since its international debut, the new Genesis G80 is spotted in Mumbai. Despite the launch of the brand’s first SUV model, the new G80 sedan was launched in March 2020 on international markets.
The Hyundai Motor Group’s standalone premium subs brand name Genesis was initially been used in foreign market luxury sedans. Hyundai announced its arrival in2015, with the G90 coming before the end of the year and the G80 following in2016. As part of Genesis’ premium sub-brand. TheG80 falls between the smaller G70 and the G90 flagship, while the company’s competitors in foreign markets are premium cars such as the Mercedes E-class and the BMW 5 Series.
The latest G80 follows a four-door cup that looks like its ancestor, with an overall nose dominated by the luxury “crest” grill. Smart, split light clusters on both the front and back of each unit are special design touches, with turn indicators feature. The cabin is much like the GV80, which has a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 14.5-inch infotainment screen, and two-spoke steering.
At this point, we are not sure bout the fact that if it’s coming to India but as the Genesis G80 sedan Spotted In Mumbai it has a higher chance to arrive.
In 2019 it was reported that Genesis might be coming to India with its SUV model. The brand currently offers two SUVs in the global market- The Hyundai Tucson-based GV80 and the GV70. There is no report about the sedan line-up in India.
