Citroen C3 Bookings Opened Ahead Of Launch
With the impending release of the new C3, Citroen will soon reach the mass market segment. The B segment, where the C3 will compete, includes everything from hatchbacks to small SUVs. Customers can test-drive the C3 at dealerships, and Citroen has begun accepting reservations for it for a nominal fee of Rs 21,000. On July 20, the Citroen C3 will be on sale.
The front and rear silver skid plates, as well as the C3’s steep approach and departure angles, are all hallmarks of an SUV. It has a 180mm ground clearance and a 10m turning radius. According to Citroen, the bonnet tapers towards the bottom to improve sight and to provide the dominant driving posture that Indians like. It is 3.98 in length and has an interesting, hip design all around. Split LED headlamps and a classic Citroen double slat grille are seen upfront.
The grille and LED DRLs seamlessly meld together. Additionally, it has black cladding all throughout to give it a rugged appearance. The side has alloy wheels with diamond cuts. Rectangular taillamps and a dual-tone bumper are on the back.
The 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which supports Apple Carplay and Android Auto, takes centre stage when it comes to the interiors. To make it look cool, it receives a colourful dashboard with patterns. Citroen claims to offer some of the best legroom in this sector with a 2,450mm wheelbase. The rear power window switches on the C3 are oddly located where the back air conditioning vents would typically be. It has a digital instrument cluster, steering-mounted audio controls, and manual air conditioning. According to Citroen, the C3 offers the most head, shoulder, and elbow room for passengers in its class.
It comes with a 315-litre boot and a 1-litre glovebox. Two petrol engines power the Citroen C3. The 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder naturally aspirated engine makes 81 horsepower and 115 nm of torque. It is connected to a 5-speed manual transmission. 19.8 km/l is the mileage it produces. 109 horsepower and 190 nm of torque are produced by the more potent 1.2-litre 3-cylinder turbo engine. It has a 6-speed manual transmission and gets 19.4 kilometres per litre of fuel.
