BS6 Kawasaki Z900 Expected To Launch This Month
The rivalry in the middleweight naked streetfighter category is on the rise as Triumph has revamped its Street Triple range and BMW Motorrad has brought in the BMW F 900R. The BS6 Kawasaki Z900 is one of the formidable competitors in that category. The green alien is due to an update, and the fact that almost all of Kawasaki’s goods make the wait even harder. But now, the BS6 Kawasaki Z900 is scheduled to arrive in India this month.
Being one of the most famous motorcycles in its category, BS6 Kawasaki Z900 ‘s arrival will certainly increase the worry within the department of its competition. His provocative naked style, followed by an engine firecracker, has succeeded in favor of Z900.
The BS4 variant of the Z900 is powered by a four-engine 948 cc, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke In-line engine that produces 123 bhp of power @ 9,500 rpm and torque 98.6 Nm @ 7,700 rpm. It has a fast-revving character and a powerful mid-range impact that pulls strongly towards the redline. The Bs6 Kawasaki Z900 comes with key features like aggressive Z styling, multifunctional instrumentation, clutch assist and slipper, economic riding indicator, etc. In its BS6 trim, the power output will generate more or less the same amount of power.
The Japanese bikemaker is expected to provide it with some required upgrades, such as an LED headlamp, Bluetooth TFT instrument cluster for smartphone connectivity, traction control, 4 riding modes, and 2 power modes. It’s also predicted that the revised motorcycle would get new Dunlop Sportmax Roadsport 2 tires. The Z900 will come out as an even more affordable kit with these added features than ever before. The competition is all stacked up and finding its place in the segment will not be easy for the Z900.
In this section, the Triumph Street Triple RS acts as the benchmark. The Street Triple RS continues to be driven but in a different state of tune by Moto2 inspired engine. Triumph has now fiddled and remapped the engine for better mid-range performance, 9 percent more than Triumph says. The Street Triple RS has 121 bhp and 79 Nm to spin. As usual it now also gets a bi-directional quick-shifter. The top-spec M50 four-piston Monobloc front calipers are continued to be used to arrange the braking.
The BMW F900R is powered by an engine mated to a six-speed gearbox with 895cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled. At 8,500 rpm the engine produces 105 bhp, with a peak torque of 92 Nm at 6,500 rpm. Along with a Bluetooth-enabled, fully colored instrument cluster, it also gets all-LED headlamps. Other features include keyless ignition, ABS cornering, semi-active suspension, and much more. At the front, the motorcycles receive 43 mm gold-finished upside-down forks along with a 17-inch die-cast Aluminum wheel wrapped in 120/70 XR 17 rubber, while a hydraulically adjustable monoshock configuration, as well as a 17-inch die-cast Aluminum wheel wrapped in thick 180/55 ZR 17 rubber, was mounted at the rear.
