Kawasaki India has finally launched the BS6 variant of the Z650 and it comes with a substantial price hike.
The BS6 Kawasaki Z650 is powered by a 649 cc, Parallel-Twin engine which is capable of producing 68 PS of power and 64 NM of torque, the airbox and exhaust have been reworked to help the motorcycle meet BS6 emission norms. This has also caused a marginal drop of 1.7 NM in torque figures.
The updated model gets sharper ‘Sugomi’ inspired design with a redesigned headlamp cowl and LED headlight. It also gets a 4.3 inch TFT instrument display which has Bluetooth connectivity, GPS ride logs and Smartphone connectivity.
The BS6 Kawasaki Z650 also features new tyres, the ‘Dunlop Sportmax Roadsport 2’, which are supposed to provide more grip and better handling. Other than that not much has changed on the motorcycle compared to the BS4 model.
The BS6 Kawasaki Z650 is only available in one colour that is ‘Metallic Spark Black’. The motorcycle has received a big price bump of Rs 25,000 and now comes in at Rs 5,94,000 (ex-showroom)
