Isuzu D-Max V-Cross And MU-X BS6 To Launch In India On May 10, 2021
On May 10, 2021, the long-anticipated BS6 Isuzu D-Max V-Cross And MU-X will relaunch. A new Hi-Lander collector, which is effectively a lower derivative of the V-Cross, will join both versions.
First and foremost, though Isuzu announced an all-new D-Max for foreign markets back in 2019, the model bound for India is a pick-up model that was on sale before April 2020 which complies with BS6.
The BS6-compliant V-Cross, according to sources, will cut the old 2.5-liter diesel engine and instead offers the only unit of 1.9-liter diesel –previously included in the fully-loaded variant. 163hp and 360Nm – up to 13hp and 10Nm from the BS4 variant–were developed and combined with a basic 6-Speed automatic gearbox. In two models – Z and Z Prestige–the revised pick-up will also come with a 4WD system.
Details of the leaked equipment say that the purchase system would get standard gear such as LED headlight projection, keyless input and output, automatic temperature control,7,0″ touchscreen, car parking, dual airbag, and ABS.
Four airbags, ESC, tractor control, 4WD, driven driver’s seat, and cruise control can be added to the fully-charged Z Prestige to provide a number of additional features.
The model is basically a downstream spectrum V-Cross variant, moving on to the Hi-Lander. It can also come in a two-wheel-drive shape and a manual gearbox using the same 1.9-liter diesel engine. Wait for the Hi-Lander as the entry point to the pick-up line below the V-Cross.
Like the V-cross the older variant will be upgraded to the BS6 standards while the MU-X is still seeing a generational transition in the international markets. On the complete 3-row SUV, there are no specifics, but the model is likely to soldiers using an improved version of the 3.0-liter diesel engine that was previously available. Wait for higher versions of 4WD.
Since the V-Cross as such has no direct competitors, the Isuzu MU-X will battle the Ford Endeavor, Toyota Fortuner, and the MG Gloster against other fully-sized three-row ladder-frame SUVs. As far as the price is concerned, the carmaker announced back in late 2019 that the transition to BS6 saw prices for its range increase over their BS4 equivalents by Rs 3-4 lakh, but it remains uncertain whether this happens over the following year.
