BS6 Honda Activa 6G Review
The Honda Activa has become a household name name in India and can be spotted everywhere being ridden by many. Honda has launched the new and updated version of Activa, the Activa 6G.
The Activa 6G is a BS6 compliant scooter with many updates over the previous variant, visually the scooter remains the same with a new and updated tail lamps which are more sharp and better looking, in the front it’s the same LED headlamp for the deluxe variant and Halogen headlamps for the standard variant. The tyre size of the front wheel has gone up to 12 inches with the rear tyre size being the same 10 inches, the suspension has been upgraded to accommodate the bigger front wheel.
The Activa 6G now comes with a start-stop switch with silent starting and the instrument cluster now includes a engine malfunction light and designed much better than the previous model. The underseat storage remains the same 18 liters, which can accommodate a half face helmet. The overall build and switch gear quality is very good.
It comes with the same 110cc engine with 7.8 PS of power and 8.79 NM of torque but with a fuel injection system which makes it BS6 compliant and much smoother and responsive to ride than before. The ride quality and handling is much better thanks to the fuel injected engine and the new wheels and suspension, it is more maneuverable and flickable than before. The Kerb weight stands at 107 Kg after the BS6 update.
The Activa 6G is a better offering than before but it would be nice to have a underseat USB charger and alloy wheels at least as an option. It is same as the previous scooter in good ways and has improved where it should have. The pricing for both the variants are, Standard variant is 63,900 (ex-showroom), Deluxe variant is priced at 65,400 (ex-showroom). The Activa 6G is available in 6 colours (Glitter Blue Metalic , Pearl Spartan Red, Dazzle Yellow Metallic, Black, Pearl Precious White & Matte Axis Grey Metallic).
