BS6 Bajaj Pulsar NS160 has been launched, it gets a few mechanical additions and produces more power than before.
The bike is now powered by a updated 160.3 cc single-cylinder, oil-cooled, DTS-i Twin Spark engine, which now produces 17.2 bhp of power and 14.6 Nm of torque, all of this mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The bike is now fuel-injected and produces 1.7 bhp more power whereas the torque remains the same, but now it comes in earlier down the rev range.
Visually the bike is exactly the same as the BS4 model, with the aggressive styled halogen headlamps, muscular fuel tank and split seats. The instrument cluster is the same semi-digital one which shows the engine rpm in the analog side and fuel level, current speed, trip meter, odometer, clock and service reminder on the digital side.
The motorcycle now comes with a twin-disc brake setup as standard with a 260 mm disc at the front and a 230 mm disc at the rear with a single-channel ABS system that works only on the front wheel. The rear tyre on the bike is now wider and now stands at 120/80 section tubeless tyres compared to the previous 110/80 section tyres.
The bike comes with the same colour options as before: Fossil Grey, Wild Red and Saffire Blue.
The price of the Bajaj Pulsar NS160 has gone up by a whopping Rs 10,000 in it’s BS6 avatar and it now costs Rs 1,03,000.
