Bajaj has made the Avenger Street 160 and Cruise 220 BS6 compliant, there is no news on whether they will be making the street 220 BS6 compliant, they might discontinue it. The bikes are now significantly costlier, thanks to some new additions to the bikes to make them BS6 compliant. The changes include a fuel injection system and a ECU to control it with a revised catalytic converter.
The bikes have not lost any PS or NM, the Cruise 220 continues to make 19.03 PS of power and 17.5 NM of torque and the street 160 continue to produce 15 PS of power and surprisingly, has a increased torque of 13.7 NM. Other than these changes there are no other changes to the bikes visually or mechanically. The bikes come in the same colour options of Auburn Black and Moon White for the Cruise 220, Matte White and Matte Black for the Street 160.
