BMW IX To Launch On December 11
The vehicle industry is accelerating its transition to electrification. Almost every brand has prepared an electric lineup. Even luxury automobile manufacturers such as Audi and Jaguar have introduced electric vehicles to the Indian market. So far, BMW has chosen a cautious approach and is now ranked last in the Indian EV business. That, however, is about to change. The business has officially revealed its plans to introduce three EVs for the Indian vehicle market, the first of which will be BMW’s flagship EV, the iX SUV, which is set to debut on December 11th. Let’s have a better look at this forthcoming Electric SUV.
The BMW IX is designed in the same manner as the iNext Concept. It is a tiny vehicle that falls into the 5-seater compact SUV sector. It has a taller and more vertical chrome grille on the front, which is encircled with gloss black. The small LED headlamp nicely contrasts with the larger grille. Over to the sides of BMW IX, the design is straightforward, with flat tyre arches, door handles level with the car’s body, and chrome inserts running down the bottom of the windows.
BMW IX has a dual-tone finish with broad black lines on the bumper, along the side, and on the top. The automobile is outfitted with low-profile tyres, and the rims are likewise black. It receives a slanted headliner and a rear spoiler that extends farther back. The taillights in the back of the BMW IX are ultra-slim and extend deep into the boot lid. A black scuff plate is also included on the rear bumper.
This automobile seems like a step into the future on the interior. It has a highly sophisticated and aesthetically pleasing dashboard. The twin-spoke flat-bottom steering is a major attraction. The steering is also hexagonal since it is flattened at the ten and two places. A single curved screen with a 12.3-inch virtual cockpit and a 14.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system is also included in the dashboard. The central console is finished in wood, and it has a glass dial and touch-sensitive buttons. The seats are embroidered with recycled plastic microfiber fabric.
This vehicle is available in two trim levels: xDrive40 and xDrive50. The xDrive40 comes with a 71kWh battery with a twin motor setup that produces 326HP and 630Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.1 seconds. It has a fast-charging design that charges the battery from 10% to 80% in just 31 minutes. It has a range of 414 kilometres (WLTP).
The xDrive50 sports a larger 105kWh battery, which is combined with an all-wheel-drive powertrain that produces 523PS and 765Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds. It also has DC fast-charging, which charges the battery from 10% to 80% in just 35 minutes. It has a total of 613 options (WLTP).
