The e-tron series will be available in India in two body styles: the basic e-tron SUV and the e-tron Sportback. The e-tron 50 and e-tron 55 models will be available for the basic SUV, but the Sportback will only have one variant, the e-tron Sportback 55.
All models come standard with Matrix LED headlights, progressive steering, adaptive air suspension, and a 4-zone climate control system.
A panoramic sunroof, single-colour ambient lighting, Audi’s “virtual cockpit” digital dials, wireless charging, leatherette upholstery, powered front seats with memory, 20-inch alloys, aluminium roof rails, 8 airbags, and front and rear parking sensors are all available options.
Catalunya Red, Floret Silver, Galaxy Blue, Glacier White, Mythos Black, Navarra Blue, Siam Beige, and Typhoon Grey are the eight colour possibilities for the regular e-tron.
The Audi e-tron Sportback, on the other hand, has all of the aforementioned colour selections plus a Plasma Blue option. With the e-tron, Audi offers three interior upholstery options: Mother of Pearl Beige, Okapi Brown, and Black.
The Audi e-tron will also come with a slew of extra features, however only on the higher 55 models. The Technology Package comprises Digital Matrix LED headlamps with follow-me-home animated projections, a 30-colour ambient and contour lighting package, an air quality package, a 705-watt, 16-speaker Bang & Olufsen Premium 3D sound system, and a 360-degree camera as the most conspicuous option.
Soft-close doors, a heads-up display, Audi’s Virtual Cockpit Plus, adaptive windshield wipers, wood ash grain Volcano Grey interior trim, natural Walnut interior trim, a black design package with black roof rails, and a flat-bottom steering wheel are among the other possibilities.
Two electric motors, one on the front axle and one on the rear axle, are used in both versions of the e-tron. The entry-level e-tron 50 produces 313 horsepower and 540 Nm of torque, good for a claimed 6.8-second 0-100kph time. The 50 has a range of 264-379 km and is powered by a 71kW battery (WLTP combined).
The Audi e-tron 55 and e-tron Sportback 55 have 408hp and 664Nm of torque, and a claimed 0-100kph time of 5.7 seconds. Both models have a range of 359-484 km and are powered by a bigger 95kW battery (WLTP combined).
The e-quattro permanent all-wheel drive technology distributes power to all four axles. All e-trons will come with an 11kW AC Home Charger and be capable of rapid charging up to 150 kW DC.
The Audi e-tron and e-tron Sportback will compete in India against the Mercedes-Benz EQC and Jaguar I-Pace once they are released. The Audi SUVs will be pricey due to the fact that they will be CBU models. The e-tron is projected to cost more than Rs 1 crore (ex-showroom, India), with the Sportback model being somewhat more expensive.
