Upcoming Aprilia SXR160 Teased, To Be Launched In November
Aprilia’s SXR160 teased for the first time. The scooter is designed according to a maxi-scooter language and is due to arrive before its SXR125 version with a smaller capacity.
Although the teaser doesn’t disclose much, it is the first one for the next SXR models that we saw. Piaggio India’s MD and CEO Diego Graffiti recently declared that SXR160 can be reckoned with in November 2020. However, this early teaser indicates that a start can be earlier. In the meantime, the SXR125 is to arrive some months later.
To recap, both models feature a multifunctional digital smartphone device cluster, LED double-pod phone, and a wide range of accessories. In the SXR125 and SXR160, the revised BS6 compliant sets are shared with their engines, meaning the same power and torque figures can be expected.
For the time being, we know that the suspension and brake chassis and hardware elements are similar to those from the rest of the range SR. We also know that the angle of the directional rake is relaxed, leading to a longer wheelbase. What we hope to see is a suspension that is more forgiving to offer more SR comfort.
Compared to the 14-inch units in the SR range, the Aprilia SXR125 and Aprilia SXR160 feature 12-inch wheels.
