Audi e-tron and e-tron Sportback Launched, Priced At INR 99.99 Lakh

The Audi e-tron and e-tron Sportback, the brand’s first electric SUVs, are now available in India, with the e-tron starting at Rs 99.99 lakh and the e-tron Sportback starting at Rs 1.18 crore. Both EVs are presently available for booking through Audi dealerships or the company’s internet platform, with a booking fee of Rs 5 lakh.

Audi has given the e-tron a more classic SUV look that is consistent with the brand’s current design language. This means the e-tron will have a big grille on both sides with slim LED headlamps. The e-side tron’s profile is properly proportioned, and it doesn’t stray too far from the classic Audi SUV design, such as that of a Q5 or Q7.

While the e-tron Sportback shares much of its style with the normal model upfront, its unique SUV-coupe aesthetic becomes more apparent when viewed from the side, thanks to its tapering roofline that finishes in a notchback design. Both variants include a full-width light bar connecting the LED taillights at the back. Both variants come standard with 20-inch 5-spoke alloy wheels wrapped in high-profile tires to improve the overall ride.

The e-interior tron’s features a dual-touchscreen arrangement with a 10.1-inch infotainment display on top and 8.8-inch climate control and other functions display lower down, which takes center stage. Audi’s computerized instrument cluster, the ‘Virtual Cockpit,’ is also available. Matrix LED headlights, progressive steering, adaptive air suspension, 4-zone climate control, cruise control, motorized tailgate, panoramic sunroof, power-adjustable steering wheel, and leather upholstery are all standard on the e-tron 55.
Over and above the features featured in the 50 Quattro trim, the Technology pack adds a 705W, 16-speaker B&O premium 3D sound system, 30-color ambient lighting, air purifier, and 360-degree cameras to the 55 Quattro trim.

Soft-close doors, head-up display, Audi’s Virtual Cockpit Plus, adaptive wipers, and a flat-bottom steering wheel are among the optional additions to the electric SUVs.
The electric motors on both axels of the e-tron 50 Quattro create a combined 313hp and 540Nm, allowing it to finish the 0-100kph race in a claimed 6.8 seconds. This model features a 71kW battery and a range of 264-379 kilometers (WLTP combined). In this form, the e-tron can accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 6.8 seconds.

The 55 Quattro version of the Audi e-tron and e-tron Sportback, which likewise has a dual-motor arrangement and produces 408hp and 664Nm, is a more powerful version of the Audi e-tron and e-tron Sportback. The 55 Quattro has a larger 95kWh battery pack with a claimed WLTP range of 359-484 kilometers. Both models can complete the 0-100kph dash in 5.7 seconds with this combination.

With an 11kW AC charger, the larger-capacity battery can be charged from 0 to 80 percent in 8.5 hours, or in just 30 minutes with a 150kW DC fast charger. The 11kW AC charger is the fastest among competitors, and Audi even has an onboard converter that allows for 22kW AC charging if infrastructure permits.

Other luxury electric SUVs that have been launched in India, such as the Mercedes-Benz EQC (starting at Rs 1.04 crore) and Jaguar I-Pace (priced at Rs 1.06 crore), compete with the Audi e-tron and e-tron Sportback.
