2021 MG Hector petrol CVT Launched In India With Some Cosmic Changes At Rs 16.52 lakh
In addition to the SUV line-up Hector, MG Motor India has introduced new petrol-CVT models, pricing Rs 16.52. Two trim levels-Smart and sharp are available for the 2021 Mg hector plus petrol CVT, along with the manual and DCT version.
The 143hp 1.5liter turbocharged petrol engine is used by the 2021 MG Hector petrol CVT which powers the Hector petrol manual and DCT variants. The CVT is an 8-step unit that is fitted with two drive modes, Eco and Sport. It is the first vehicle in India to have two automatic gearbox options on the same engine besides the manuals and DCT versions. In addition to the fuel-efficient variant of the DCT, the CVT fitted Hector would possibly be simpler than the dual-clutch system.
MG has recently revised the Hector to allow small cosmetic improvements and extra features. Exterior, the grille of 2021 Hector has a redesigned finish and on the back, a black appliqué has been substituted for the reflector strip around the tailgate. Now the Hector is mounted on wider 18-inch alloy wheels, with new scuff plates on the front and back.
On the interior, the entire black theme has been replaced with a black and beige double color upholstery that enhances the cabin setting. The 2021 Hector’s features include ventilated seats, a portable phone charger, and IRVM auto-dimming.
The Hector voice helper has been upgraded by MG, which is now able to understand up to 31 controls in Hinglish-some entirely in Hindi – ranging from sunroof opening and shutting to air-conditioning and navigation.
With petrol powertrains like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and Nissan Kicks, the 2021 MG Hector petrol CVT rank against other mid-size SUVs.
