Maruti Suzuki Swift Facelift To Launch On February

The 2021 Maruti Suzuki Swift facelift will commence in February in India. A recent update to Maruti’s favorite mid hatchback is followed by cosmetic improvements, but a 90hp petrol engine is the most important addition.

The 1.2-liter K12M four-cylinder motor, which produced 83hp and 113Nm torque is discontinued and comes with the new K12N dual-jet engine. This 1.2-liter four-cylinder petrol engine also comes with an idle start-stop tech, which helps to optimize economy, along with a 90hp power boost (torque stays the same at 113Nm). As before, there are options for the 5-speed manual and the 5-speed AMT gearbox.

This engine (manually) was found to be more reactive and elastic than the outgoing K12M engine in the Dzire facial lift. At 100kph (by0.59s) the sprint was faster, and the input time also increased. The new motor is expected to boost the 2021 ARAI fuel efficiency figure from 21.21kpl and approach the Dzire landmark — the compact sedan of Maruti is now India’s most powerful petrol vehicle, as rated by ARAI. ARAI has the benefit of the new motor.

Spied testing for the Maruti Suzuki Swift Facelift for India has shown that modifications of the design, as for the foreign model, would be minor. We must wait until the Indian-specific 2021 Swift discloses the exact improvements but expect a revised grille style, among other minor distinctions.

Besides new upholstery materials, so many improvements are not expected in the interior of the Swift. It is also expected that the equipment list will remain unchanged, with top-speed features, including automatic LED headlights, daylight LED lights, a 15-inch Dual-Tone Alloy, a rear camera, an Android Auto and Apple CarPlay 7.0.0-inch SmartPlay infotainment device, keyless control, and more.

As the latest engine and cosmic tweaks were modified on Dzire, the prices increased by approximately Rs 6,000-Rs 22,000 depending on the variants. Expect an increase in the price of the Swift equally – the present model ranges from Rs 5.19 to Rs 8.02 lakh, whereby the distributor reports a price increase of Rs 15.000 to Rs 20.000 for the Swift.
