2021 Jeep Compass Facelift Unveiled: Check Details
The 2021 Jeep Compass facelift has been undraped in India, before its launch next month. In contrast to the outgoing model, the SUV is refreshed, has a refurbished interior and more features.
The 2021 Jeep Compass facelift has a redesigned headlights with LED DRLs, a redesigned seven-ladder grille with wave-like reinforcements, a new front stroke with a wider air dam, and new fog light housings. New alloy wheels are now available for the SUV. There are no noticeable changes on the rear and side of the SUV.
With a new 10.1-inch floating touchscreen at the center below which are the new slim AC vents and HVAC controllers, the Compass facelift has a completely renovated interior. The facelift is inserted on the Dashboard and is brushed like aluminum by two-stitched brown leather. A new steering wheel and a large, fully digital instrument cluster are also part of the package. The Compass Top-spec features dual-tone leather polishing for seats, while all-black polishing is provided in the lower versions.
A 10.1 touch screen with FCA’s UConnect 5 infotainments system, Amazon Alexa’s built-in support, Apple CarPlay Wireless Support, and Android Car support is available in the Top-Specific Limited Plus variant. Over-the-air updates (OTA) may also be provided to the infotainment system. The Compass facelift also has LED headlamps, connected automotive technology, a panorama sunroof, an electrically-adjustable tailgate and 18-inch alloy wheels, a 10.25-inch digital device cluster, dual-zone automatic climate control, wireless charging, a 360° parking camera, leather upholstery, a powered tailgate.
Compass Limited Plus security includes 6 airbags, EBD and braking support ABS, traction control, ESC, hill-start assist, auto headlamps and washers, and ISOFIX children’s seat mounts.
A 2.0-liter diesel engine with 173hP and 350Nm torque and a 1.4-liter turbo petrol engine with 163hp and 250Nm torque is provided in this Jeep Compass facing lift, along with the model that comes out. The Compass petrol is available as standard with a seven-speed, double-clutch automatic and a nine-speed torque converter option for the diesel.
The 2021 Jeep Compass rivals the Hyundai Tucson and the Skoda Karoq. Like the pre-facelift model, the Trailhawk off-road version will be released at a later stage.
The carmaker recently revealed that in the next two years the company has spent more than 250 million dollars (about 1,827 crores) for the manufacture of the four new SUVs.
Jeep is designing a new seven-seat SUV, sharing its base and engine with the Compass, but rivaling the Toyota Fortuner and the Ford Endeavour. The 7-seater Jeep SUV is expected to launch in 2022.
