Honda Hornet 2.0 Arrives At Dealerships
After its launch on August 27, 2020, the Honda Hornet 2.0 was dispatched to dealerships across India.
Prospective customers can now test the new Honda Hornet 2.0 at dealerships across India and book a motorcycle by paying a minimum Rs 5,000 reservation amount. Priced at Rs 1.26 lakh ( ex-showroom, Delhi) The Hornet 2.0
The Honda Hornet 2.0 marks the company’s entry into segment 180cc-200cc. The motorcycle is based on the Honda CB190R, which is being sold internationally. That said, Honda India has been working on the styling to differentiate the Hornet 2.0 from the CB190R. The most obvious changes were made to the headlamp, the taillight, and the body panels.
The Honda 2.0 Hornet features an all-LED lamp setup. The motorcycle also has a reverse LCD instrument cluster with gear position indicator, service due indicator, and voltmeter battery.
Completing the equipment list is a hazard lamp switch and sealed chain, which requires less maintenance from Honda claims.
There is a new diamond frame under the muscular-looking bodywork, which is said to offer good agility and feedback around corners. Also, the company has managed to keep the kerb weight at 142 kg quite low.
The Honda Hornet 2.0 is also the segment’s first motorcycle to feature a USD fork finished in rather interesting gold color. On the rear is a mono-shock adjustable for preload.
The bike is riding on new alloy wheels, shod with a front 110 mm tire and rear 140 mm tire.
As for the brakes, the bike has a 276 mm front petal disc and a 220 mm rear petal disc. The Hornet 2.0 only gets a single-channel ABS in the interest of saving costs.
The Hornet 2.0 is powered by a single-cylinder engine with 184.4cc, air-cooled, fuel-injected, which develops 17.2hp at 8500rpm and 16.1Nm at 6000rpm. It weights a power ratio of 121.12hp per tonne.
The Honda Hornet 2.0 faces the Apache RTR 200, Bajaj Pulsar NS200, and Hero Xtreme 200R TVS
