BMW X3 M India launch at the end of August
The high-performance BMW X3 M SUV is soon to be launched in India, and we hear that it will be priced very competitively, at about Rs 1.1 crore (ex-showroom), before options. The BMW X3 M would have been unveiled earlier this year but was postponed due to the continuing COVID-19 crisis.
The BMW X3 M will be powered by a twin-turbo, straight-six engine that produces a torque of 480hp and 600Nm. India will only get to continue with the regular X3 M, and not the X3 M Competition, which interestingly allows 510hp higher. The regular X3 M does the 0-100kph sprint with an electronically restricted top speed of 250kph in a claimed 4.2 seconds, which can be improved to 280kph with the optional M Driver kit.
The BMW X3 M will come in India fitted with adaptive LED headlights, a panoramic glass roof, and BMW display control. Only the SUV can provide features such as gesture control, Apple CarPlay, and a wireless charging pad.
In addition, customers will be able to customize their cars with different interior colors and contrast-stitching kits. However, the X3 M will only get the Vernasca leather seats of fairly entry-level compared to the Nappa leather of higher quality found on some other vehicles.
The BMW X3 M’s exterior will have wider bumpers and black accents compared to the regular BMW X3 – with a black-out grille and black parts on the front bumper and side vents. Additionally, the X3 M will get the quad exhaust signature system that comes with BMW M vehicles. A number of exclusive paint choices will also be available to choose from.
