KTM Electric Scooter is ready to race with Bajaj chetak
KTM has been busy growing its model range for a while now and we have options from 125cc right up to the 790 Duke, including when it comes to the Indian market. Some of the more aggressive ventures, though, were to join the scooter market and many readers will recall the revolutionary idea of KTM E-Speed that was unveiled in 2013. The electric scooter project was nearly completed before the trigger was pulled by KTM bossman Stefan Pierer because he thought the industry had not developed sufficiently.
Everything this changed last year when KTM revealed it will have a selection of hybrid scooters and motorcycles by 2022. Reports say that the forthcoming KTM electric scooter will likely be based on the current Bajaj Chetak! A new design has been reported by Austria’s Motorrad-Magazin which gives us an idea of what the KTM electric scooter could be. The concept seems like an evolution of the KTM E-Speed with straight and eccentric lines, as planned. On the scooter which is a KTM trademark, one could also see several contrasting orange-colored parts.
KTM is not the first company to build a variety of electric scooters with photos of last year’s new Husqvarna electric scooter. As for KTM, only the line of hybrid scooters from Husqvarna is scheduled to launch in 2022. The Husky scooter seems more traditional than the revolutionary KTM style.
