Lamborghini Aventador Successor To Unveil Globally On March 29

On March 29, the Lamborghini LB744, a supercar that will eventually replace the iconic Aventador, will make its premiere worldwide. The company just disclosed the supercar’s powertrain characteristics. The Lamborghini Aventador Successor replacement will be propelled by a new V12 engine with three electric motors that can generate more than 1000bhp. As previously reported, the new 6.5-litre V12, known as L545, is the lightest and most powerful engine the premium carmaker has ever produced, weighing 218kgs. When this new V12 Supercar will debut in India is not yet officially confirmed. Yet according to industry rumours, the modern Aventador’s replacement will arrive in India later this year.

The day when the automobile will make its public debut throughout the world is steadily approaching. Let’s learn more about this new V12 supercar’s characteristics, specifications, design, and other aspects first.

According to the premium manufacturer, the new 6.5-litre V12, codenamed L545, is the company’s lightest and most powerful engine to date, weighing 218kg. Although 17 kg lighter than the engine in the current Aventador, it produces 814bhp at 9,250 rpm and 725Nm at 6,750 rpm. The engine has undergone a number of changes from the carmaker to improve performance.

The air intake ducts to the cylinders can be redesigned to boost the air supply and guarantee proper airflow in the combustion chamber. Moreover, V12’s audio has been enhanced. According to the company, the three 18.5kg motors with a combined power of 1001bhp can be easily fitted due to the lower engine weight. The company claims that one engine will be installed on the gearbox and the other two will drive the front axles.

Although the company has not yet released acceleration figures, the next supercar’s engine will produce 30% less CO2 than the 768 horsepower of the Lamborghini Aventador Ultimae. According to reports, it will provide the LB744 scorching off-line performance, most likely with numbers that are comparable to those of the limited-edition Lamborghini Veneno, which can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in under 2.9 seconds.

The LB744 will have the same ability as the other plug-in hybrid vehicles to operate totally on electricity, using just the front wheels when not in use to save energy and all four wheels when required (depending on the selected drive mode). Regrettably, due to the lowest size of the battery, the greatest expected EV range will only be 8km.

There will be a 3.8 kWh battery pack in the LB744. When the battery is completely depleted, according to Lamborghini, it can be fully recharged in about 30 minutes using a typical alternating 7kW electricity and in as little as six minutes using the gasoline engine in conjunction with regenerative braking.

To aid with weight distribution, the LB744 will have an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission that is mounted behind the V12. It will be 193 kg heavy. The LB744 will be the second Lamborghini with a transversely placed gearbox after the Miura. The new gearbox has two distinct shafts rather of three.

In addition to supplying the front electric motors through the transmission tunnel battery, the electric motor mounted on the gearbox also functions as a starting motor generator. Two front electric motors will give reverse, but the rear electric motor will use the back axle and wheels if greater speed is required.

The manufacturer believes that the LB744’s new monofuselage chassis would significantly increase the torsional stiffness and driving characteristics of the supercar. It will be the first car with a front end made entirely of carbon fibre and have twice as much energy absorption as the Aventador. According to the luxury vehicle manufacturer, the monofuselage is 10% lighter than the Aventador’s supporting chassis and 20% lighter at the front alone. Moreover, there has been a 25% improvement in torsional stiffness. The rear chassis is made of high-strength aluminium, which according to Lamborghini further reduces weight, minimises the number of welding lines, and boosts stiffness. Moreover, the back domes are hollow.

Although there has been no official confirmation as of yet, industry rumours suggest that the upcoming V12 supercar would resemble the angular Lamborghini Aventador in the front. The tri-arrow LED daytime running lights for the Lamborghini Gallardo FKP 37 will allegedly be placed underneath the supercar’s triangular headlights. Two top-mounted exhaust pipes will likely be surrounded by triangle-shaped taillights on the supercar’s rear end. The next supercar is most likely to have a single-pane glass with air vents on either side, unlike the Aventador, which featured a three-pane back window above the engine.

There is currently no precise information available on the new supercar’s formal launch in India. The Urus, Huracan, and Aventador are the three Lamborghini automobiles that are currently available for purchase in India. Market rumours claim that later this year, the premium automaker will import the eagerly anticipated V12 supercar. The V12 supercar is now scheduled to debut on March 29 in all countries. Further information about the vehicle is anticipated to surface closer to the launch.
