BMW Motorrad Touring range Launched In India Priced From Rs 23.95 Lakh
Four models from BMW Motorrad India’s premier touring bike series have been introduced in India. The R 1250 RT costs Rs 23.95 lakh and is equipped with the same boxer engine as the R 1250 GS. Three versions make up the K 1600 motorcycle line: the K 1600 B (Rs 29.90 lakh), K 1600 GTL (Rs 32 lakh), and the K 1600 Grand America (Rs 33 lakh).
This year’s updates to the BMW R 1250 RT include a revised front fairing and a complete LED headlamp. The engine in use here is identical to the one used in BMW’s instantly recognizable adventure motorcycle, the R 1250 GS. At 7,750 rpm, the 1,254cc horizontally opposed twin-cylinder engine produces 134 horsepower, and at 6,250 rpm, it produces 143 Nm of torque. The 279-kilogram behemoth is propelled by this to reach 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds. As is customary these days for a luxury touring machine, this bike is jam-packed with sophisticated rider aids and creature amenities. The front and rear tires of the R 1250 RT are 120/70 and 180/55, respectively, and they are mounted on 17-inch wheels.
The only widely accessible inline-six cylinder motorbikes on the market right now are from the K 1600 family. 180Nm of torque is produced at 5,250 rpm and 160 horsepower at 6,750 rpm by the 1,649cc six-cylinder engine. The K 1600 B is the lightest of all, weighing in at 344kg; the other two are heavier. The bikes’ 17-inch cast alloy rims are wrapped in 120/70 front and 190/55 rear tires, which are slightly wider than those on the R 1250 RT. These motorcycles are the pinnacle of the BMW Motorrad line in India and incorporate every comfort-improving and rider assistance technology imaginable.
The K 1600 series consists of three sumptuous models: the K 1600 B, a more basic, bagger-like type; the K 1600 GTL, a two-up long-haul tourer; and the K 1600 GTL, the ultimate model. Models like the HD Street Glide Special and Road Glide Special, the Honda Gold Wing, the Indian Roadmaster, and other full-size tourers are competitors to these motorcycles.
