2022 Hyundai Tucson To Launch In India On August 4
In advance of its market debut on August 4, Hyundai has showcased the fourth-generation Tucson in India. Deliveries for the completely redesigned Tucson, which made its world debut in September 2020, will start soon. 2022 Hyundai Tucsonmust make its first trip to India in long-wheelbase form. There is also a compact wheelbase SUV available globally. The new Hyundai Tucson should start taking reservations the following week.
The look of the new Tucson is a significant upgrade over the outgoing model. It features the “Sensual Sportiness” design aesthetic of Hyundai, which is characterized by aggressive details and precisely cut surfaces. The massive dark chrome grille that spans the entire width of the nose and perfectly incorporates the LED Daytime Running Lamps inside is the focal point. It has jewel-like details. The front bumper, which also has prominent curves and angular cutouts, houses the main headlamp cluster.
The 2022 Hyundai Tucson has a distinctive appearance from the side due to its sharp character lines, angular and flared wheel arches, and substantial body cladding. The ORVMs’ base is where a satin chrome strip extends all the way back to the C-pillar. 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels support the Tucson built for the Indian market.
The 2022 Hyundai Tucson has two LED taillights in the shape of a T that are joined by an LED light bar. This configuration resembles that of the Ford Mustang Mach E electric SUV that is sold overseas. As a result of the lighting configuration in the rear, the tail portion is divided into two halves, breaking up the apparent mass. The rear bumper has a faux silver skid plate and a diamond-pattern finish.
India receives the Tucson model with a large wheelbase, as was already indicated. The new Tucson will have more interior space than the existing model thanks to gains in length and wheelbase of 150mm and 85mm, respectively.
The 2022 Hyundai Tucson is completely different from its predecessor inside as well. The dashboard has a new wraparound design, is much more simple, and substitutes touch panels for the majority of physical controls. Black and grey in two tones make up the interior’s color scheme. A distinctive 4-spoke steering wheel from the Creta and Alcazar is also present.
The new 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which has a piano black bezel and is perfectly integrated into the dashboard, is the star of the show. A 10.25-inch digital driver’s display with customizable themes and turn-by-turn navigation is also included as well as a touch-based panel for the new HVAC controls that are located underneath the infotainment system. The center console contains a few physical buttons for seat ventilation and other purposes, but there is no typical gear lever there; instead, buttons similar to those seen on the Honda CR-V have taken its place.
Additionally, the 2017 Tucson is the first Hyundai to be equipped with ADAS in India. Forward collision warning, blind-spot assistance, lane-keeping assistance, rear cross-traffic alert, and other features are included in the Level 2 ADAS suite. Although the Mahindra XUV700 also offers the same technology a level below, the Tucson is the only SUV in its class with ADAS technology. Six airbags, front and rear parking sensors, ESC, hill-descent control, and all-wheel disc brakes are additional safety features.
The 2.0-liter petrol and diesel engines are available for the new Tucson. The four-cylinder naturally aspirated gasoline engine, which is also available on the Alcazar, cranks out 156 horsepower and 192 Nm of maximum torque. Automatic transmission with six speeds is included with this engine. The 2.0-liter diesel engine, on the other hand, has a maximum output of 416Nm and 186 horsepower and is paired with 8-speed automated transmission. The new Tucson lacks a manual transmission like the model it replaces, although it is still possible to choose an all-wheel-drive system with many terrain settings (Snow, Mud, and Sand).
On August 4, Hyundai will release the costs for the brand-new Tucson. The Jeep Compass, the Citroen C5 Aircross, and higher-spec versions of the Tata Harrier, MG Hector, and Mahindra XUV700 will be their main rivals when they go on sale.
