BMW i4 Launched At INR 69.90 Lakh

The BMW i4 vehicle is now available in India for 69.90 lakh. In BMW India’s EV lineup, the i4 sits between the Mini Electric and the iX SUV. The BMW i4 is 13 lakhs more expensive than the 3 Series Gran Limousine and 4 lakhs more expensive than the M340i sports sedan. Among all luxury EVs in India, the i4 claims to have the longest range. The i4 is currently taking reservations, and it will arrive via the CBU route.

The BMW i4 Gran Coupe is a fully electric version of the BMW 4-series Gran Coupe. The i4 has a striking resemblance to the 4-series in terms of design, with the same tall front grille. The grille on the EV, however, is made of glass. The i4 gets a revised bumper that removes the side air vents and replaces them with a reworked diffuser. The headlights are equipped with the same multi-projector setup as the taillights, as well as dual DRLs. The air vents on the sides have been removed, and the ORVMs have been redesigned. New 19-inch wheel options are also available for the i4. The back has the same design as the ICE version, with minor alterations to the bumper. Blue accents are added to the vehicle.

The automobile has a dual-tone dashboard with a single curving piece of glass encasing the 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and the 14.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system on the interior. It’s powered by BMW’s latest iDrive 8 operating system, which includes OTA updates and wireless smartphone connectivity. The centre console is made of carbon fibre, and the gear shifter has blue accents.

The car also comes with ambient lighting on the dash and doors, as well as a sunroof if that isn’t enough light. A rear air suspension with lift-related dampers, three-zone climate control, LED ambient lighting, and a 17-speaker Harman Kardon surrounds sound system are among the other amenities.

In India, the i4 is sold as the eDrive 40. It has a 340 horsepower and 430 pound-feet-of-torque rear-axle motor. The BMW i4 accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.7 seconds and has a top speed of 190 km/h, which is electronically regulated. The i4 can be charged at up to 205 kW, giving it a range of 164 kilometres in just 10 minutes. It can charge from 0 to 100% in about 8.5 hours using a typical 11kW wall box charger. The WLTP-estimated range of the i4 is 590 kilometres.
