Yamaha MT-15 V2.0 Launched At A Price Of INR 1.60 Lakh
The Yamaha MT-15 Version 2.0 is available for Rs 1.60 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). With this version, the street nude receives various visual and mechanical improvements. The R 15M World GP 60th Anniversary Edition, priced at Rs 1.88 lakh, was also introduced by the Japanese manufacturer (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Beginning with the mechanicals, the MT-15 Version 2.0 is powered by the same engine as drove the previous generation. It’s a 155cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine that produces 18.4hp at 10,000rpm and 14.1Nm of torque at 7,500rpm, and it’s paired to a 6-speed transmission.
The Yamaha MT-15 now has upside-down front forks with gold finishes and 37mm inner tubes, as well as other upgrades. Yamaha has also replaced the outgoing MT-15’s box-section swingarm with an aluminium swingarm that is “MotoGP-inspired.” The MT-15 Version 2.0 comes with a redesigned, fully digital LCD display, as well as two new colour schemes: Cyan Storm and Racing Blue, which will be available with the existing Ice Fluo-Vermillion and Metallic Black colour schemes.
However, the MT-15 is still only available with a single-channel ABS. Yamaha might have taken advantage of this chance to include dual-channel ABS on the MT-15, as it does on its faired brother, the R 15. The price of the new Yamaha MT-15 Version 2.0 is Rs 13,000 higher than the previous model.
