Volkswagen Polo Legend Edition Launched At INR 10.25 Lakhs
To commemorate the premium hatchback’s voyage in India, Volkswagen has launched the Polo Legend Edition, a limited, celebratory edition based on the GT TSI grade.
This new model, which will be the last of the fifth-generation Polos sold in the United States, will include “Legend” designs on the fender and boot.
It will also include unique side body designs, a black boot garnish, and a black roof foil. Volkswagen India has not said how many units of the Polo Legend variant it intends to produce.
Similarly, the German manufacturer has kept the pricing of the limited edition a secret. The “Legend” will cost the same as the Polo GT, which starts at Rs. 10.25 lakhs (ex-showroom).
The Volkswagen Polo Legend edition, like the GT TSI variation on which it is based, will be powered by a 1.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine with 110 PS and 175 Nm of torque. It’s mated to a torque converter automatic gearbox with six speeds.
The Polo, which debuted in 2010, was Volkswagen’s first locally produced vehicle at its Chakan facility in Pune. In India, almost 3 lakh people have acquired the Polo in the previous ten years.
