2023 Volkswagen Tiguan SUV Launched At A Price Of Rs 34.69 Lakh
The price of the 2023 Volkswagen Tiguan SUV (ex-showroom) in India is Rs 34.69 lakh. In place of an all-black interior, the revised model has a new dual-tone grey and black colour scheme. A wireless mobile charger and Park Assist are two noteworthy features that have been added to the SUV. Pushing a button activates the Level ADAS feature known as Park Assist.
A 2.0-litre TSI engine coupled to an all-wheel-drive 7-speed DSG gearbox powers the RDE-compliant Tiguan. It produces 13.54 km/l of fuel efficiency, as certified by ARAI. The redesigned Tiguan, which is built on the MQB platform, is only available in the Elegance variation and will be distributed to clients through the company’s network of 157 sales and 124 service touchpoints located throughout 115 Indian cities.
“The excellent German engineering, build quality, safety, and fun-to-drive experience provide the Tiguan with a strong and solid presence. As stated by Mr. Ashish Gupta, Brand Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars India, “We are confident that the improved Tiguan will bring many more Indian customers into the Volkswagen family and give them the opportunity to experience and enjoy our flagship product.
The 2023 Volkswagen Tiguan has been upgraded by Volkswagen with new security features. Park Assist, a Level 1 ADAS safety technology included with the 2023 Tiguan, enables drivers to easily and quickly park their SUVs in confined spaces. Six airbags, 3-point seat belts, seatbelt reminders for the backseat passengers, electronic stability control (ESC), electronic differential lock (EDL), anti-slip regulation (ASR), hill start assist, active tyre pressure monitoring systems, hill descent control, engine drag torque control, three rear headrests, driver alert systems and ISOFIX mounts are additional safety features.
Instead of having an all-black interior design, the Volkswagen Tiguan now has dual-tone Storm Grey interiors. A wireless phone charger is an additional noteworthy change. A panoramic sunroof, an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10-inch digital instrument cluster, heated front seats, a motorised tailgate, three-zone climate control, etc. are additional features offered with the Tiguan SUVW.
The Volkswagen Tiguan continues to have a commanding physical presence in terms of appearance. For instance, the Tiguan sports a bumper that emphasises its muscularity, a wide radiator grille, and LED matrix headlamps on either side. The Tiguan inscription is located in the centre, and the vehicle also has black LED combo tail lights, R18 ‘Frankfurt’ alloy wheels, and other exterior characteristics.
King’s Red and Pure White are no longer available as exterior colour choices for the upgraded SUV; instead, Nightshade Blue, Oryx White, Dolphin Grey, Deep Black, and Reflex Silver are now available.
A 2.0-lite turbocharged petrol engine that now complies with tighter RDE requirements powers the Tiguan SUVW. This engine generates about 187bhp of power at 4,200 to 6,000 rpm and 320Nm of torque at 1,500 to 4,100 rpm when coupled to a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission. The SUV has an ARAI-certified fuel efficiency rating of 13.54 km/l.
