2023 Kia Seltos To Launch By Mid Of This Year
The Kia Seltos SUV is about to get a facelift and is anticipated to debut in India by the middle of 2023. The Seltos makeover was made public in June 2022 at the Busan Motor Show in South Korea. However, testing of the vehicle has already been discovered in Hyderabad before the unveiling.

The transmission choices for the present turbo-petrol engine include a 7-speed DCT and a 6-speed manual, although it is unknown which ones will be offered with the new engine.
The 1.5-liter petrol engine with 115 horsepower and 144 pound-feet of torque as well as the 1.5-liter turbo-diesel engine with 115 horsepower and 250 pound-feet of torque are also anticipated for the Seltos. Both engines come with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed iMT gearbox, while the CVT and 6-speed automatic gearbox options are available for the gasoline and diesel, respectively.
The 2023 Kia Seltos receives a makeover that changes the grille and adds LED daytime running lights (DRLs) to the front headlights. With the exception of new alloy wheel designs, not much has changed in the profile.
However, the design alterations are more obvious from the rear. The updated taillamps on the Seltos facelift are now connected by an LED light bar that also houses the Kia insignia; before, the taillamps were connected by a chrome strip. Additionally, the number plate depression on the tailgate has been enlarged.
According to sources, the updated Setlos will also come with a surround vision monitor, surround view cruise control, automatic high lights, and remote smart parking assist. Six airbags, hill assist control, vehicle stability management, parking sensors, and a camera, as well as a tire pressure monitoring system, are among the safety features. In addition, a panoramic sunroof, which is currently present on the model abroad, is anticipated for the revised Seltos.
The dashboard’s interior sees just minor design adjustments. The 10.25-inch touchscreen is housed in the same enclosure as a new 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. It’s also anticipated that the rotary dial would replace the traditional gear lever on the facelifted Seltos with an automated transmission.
The 2023 Kia Seltos will gain improved driver assistance features including blind spot collision warning as well as speed limit assist and alert, which is a first for Kia India. A front collision prevention system with pedestrian and cyclist identification will also be included in the Seltos makeover.
The 2023 Kia Seltos that is offered for export also has autonomous emergency braking, lane-centering steering, lane departure steering aid, and lane departure warning. It is unknown whether the SUV built for India would have these ADAS characteristics.
The recently released Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara are growing rivalry for the Seltos. It also competes with the MG Astor, Volkswagen Taigun, Hyundai Creta, and Skoda Kushaq.
