2023 Jawa 42 Tawang Edition Launched In India – 100 Units Available
The new Tawang version of the Jawa 42 has been introduced by JawaYezdi Motorcycles in India. This edition was released specifically for Arunachal Pradesh and the surrounding area to honor the region’s natural beauty and lively culture.
A few units were presented to consumers at the Torgya Festival in Tawang, when the 2023 Jawa 42 Tawang edition was unveiled. Notably, there will only be 100 available.
Although the bike initially has the same appearance as the regular trim, there are minor cosmetic upgrades. The Lungta image, essentially a legendary wind horse representing wealth and good fortune, is perched on its fuel tank and fender. Inscriptions drawn from the Northern-Eastern area are also present, and each medallion has a special number.
The Tawang edition’s mechanical aspects are unaltered. A 293cc liquid-cooled engine producing 26.95bhp and 26.84Nm powers it. A six-speed gearbox handles the transmission’s functions. Regarding the bicycle’s components, it has a single disc at each end and rides on a set of 18-17-inch alloy wheels that are suspended by telescoping forks and dual springs. You may choose between a single-channel or dual-channel ABS arrangement for the motorbike.
The Jawa 42 Version 2.1 costs Rs 1,94,142, whereas the Tawang edition is roughly Rs 20,000 more costly (ex-showroom).
